A beautiful bog walk, well maintained, and has informational signage. We saw a variety of plants, insects, birds and frogs 🐸. We’re on a road trip from California to Michigan and have been on the road for over 40 days so we love doing quick trails to help stretch our legs. Definitely worth stopping and highlu recommended.

A beautiful June morning to stretch our legs and listen to the birds and frogs. The scent in the air was fantastic! Truly a magical place!!

Didn't get to see, closed until end of June 2021 due to reconstruction...nothing on website tells you this. It's a wonderful place I heard so do not want to change rating. I certainly hope they update post before others drive far only to be disappointed 😞

The Orr Bog Walk's half mile long boardwalk provides nature enthusiasts of all ages and abilities with easy access to view a side variety of wetland plant communities- including the Black Ash Swamp, Tamarack Swamp, Alder Shrub Swamp, floating bog, and emergent wetland and a Black Spruce/Tamarack Bog. Each wetland has its unique plants and animals. For example, pitcher plants, bog rosemary, and the bog Laurel can be found only in the more acidic spruce swamp. Whereas, the pickerel woods, floating lily pads, river otters and water shrew would be seen in the permanently flooded open water wetland.
